My Background

I have always wanted a career that focussed on supporting people and have a real interest in working with others to help find solutions. My HR career began when I was 18 years old, working for a fast-paced automotive manufacturer. During this time, I gained invaluable experience working with different groups of people, often in high-pressured environments. I have been able to use this experience whilst working in a range of different areas of HR, alongside completing my CIPD Level 7 Masters in Human Resource Management during the pandemic in 2020. Prior to joining HR & OD in 2023, I have developed an in-depth HR knowledge across several Specialist roles, including Training and Development, Reward and within a central HR Services function. I have a particular interest in mental health and how HR can impact wellbeing.

My Approach

I strive to take a human approach that focusses on people and finding the best solution. I listen to others, approach pragmatically and am able to be agile. Most importantly, I like to build a strong relationship using empathy and clear communication.

My interests

I have a young cockapoo who takes up a lot of my spare time, and I enjoy trying to burn off some of her endless energy on a long dog walk! I enjoy cooking, particularly Italian food, and baking every now and then!
